Ariel is the editor of My Best Toilet, an independent publication covering bathroom fixtures, buying guides, and DIY repair. The site exists because most “best toilet” articles online are written by people who have never installed one — recycled spec sheets, hidden affiliate links, and dishonest pros-and-cons lists that exist to sell, not to inform.
Ariel doesn’t claim to be a plumber or a designer. The work here is honest editorial research: reading every available manufacturer spec sheet, cross-referencing professional plumber forums, comparing real owner reviews across multiple retailers, and disclosing what’s known versus what’s marketing. When a product is discontinued, it gets removed. When a section needs a real photo, it gets a real photo — never an AI hallucination. When a recommendation has a hard plumbing requirement (1-inch supply, 12-inch rough-in), the article says so before the affiliate link.

Editorial standards
- Real product photos only. Every product image on this site comes from the manufacturer’s official press kit or media library, with attribution. No AI-generated images.
- Discontinued products get removed. If a manufacturer stops selling something, it’s pulled from the recommendation lists within 30 days.
- Plumbing requirements stated up front. Supply line size, rough-in distance, water-pressure minimums, GFCI needs — all disclosed before any affiliate link.
- No Amazon-only round-ups. Reviews link to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Build.com, manufacturer-direct, and Ferguson where available.
- Honest pros and cons. If a $5,000 smart toilet has bad U.S. service support, the cons list says so.
