This page describes what data My Best Toilet collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, contact us.

What we collect

• Analytics data — pages visited, time on site, approximate location, device type, referrer. Collected via Google Analytics 4. Used in aggregate only to improve content.
• Comment data — if you leave a comment, your name, email, optional website URL, IP address, and comment content are stored. Email is never published.
• Newsletter data — if you subscribe, only your email address is stored, in our email service provider.
• Contact form submissions — name, email, and message content. Stored in our database and email inbox.
• Cookies — see “Cookies” below.

How we use it

• To improve our articles based on what topics readers find valuable
• To respond to your comments and emails
• To send you our newsletter, if you subscribed
• To detect and prevent spam and abuse

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

Third parties with limited access

• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate pageview analytics
• Google AdSense (or Ezoic / Mediavine in the future) — for display advertising
• Affiliate networks (Impact, ShareASale, Commission Junction, retailer-direct) — only when you click an affiliate link, to attribute the referral
• Akismet — for spam filtering on comments
• Our email service provider — if you subscribe to the newsletter

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics, advertising, and to remember your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser. We display a cookie consent banner on first visit so you can opt out of non-essential cookies.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete that data
• Opt out of any non-essential data processing
• File a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise these rights, email privacy@mybesttoilet.com. We respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

We will update this policy as needed. The effective date at the top tells you when the last change happened. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage.
